The United States and Iran have reportedly reached a preliminary agreement aimed at ending their ongoing conflict, with an official signing ceremony planned for Friday in Switzerland.

According to reports, the agreement outlines a framework for a broader peace process, including the suspension of military operations and steps toward de-escalation across multiple fronts. The deal was announced after mediation efforts involving regional stakeholders, with Pakistan playing a key diplomatic role in facilitating talks between the two sides.

The proposed agreement also includes provisions related to reopening critical maritime routes and reducing tensions in key conflict zones. However, several major issues remain unresolved, particularly the long-term status of Iran’s nuclear program, which is expected to be addressed in upcoming negotiations during a temporary ceasefire period.

While the announcement has been welcomed as a significant step toward reducing hostilities, analysts note that the agreement is still in its early stage and will require formal signing and further talks before any lasting peace can be confirmed.

Officials from both countries have emphasized that the coming days will be crucial in finalizing the terms and ensuring compliance from all involved parties.
