Babar Azam and batting milestones have become synonymous, and the Pakistani star added another major achievement to his T20I career on Sunday night in Rawalpindi. His latest half-century against Zimbabwe has placed him alongside India’s Virat Kohli for the most fifty-plus scores in T20I history.
The former Pakistan captain struck his 38th T20I fifty, strengthening his reputation as one of the most consistent white-ball batters of the modern era. Babar reached the milestone in the 14th over, crafting a composed and purposeful innings. He began with four well-timed boundaries before accelerating later to finish with 74 off 52 balls.
His knock powered Pakistan to a commanding 195 for 5 after choosing to bat, and the hosts went on to secure a dominant 69-run victory.
