Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa welcomed General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, at Al Safriya Palace on Sunday. General Asim is in Bahrain to participate in the closing ceremony of an anti-terrorism drill conducted by the Special Operations Unit at the National Guard.

During the meeting, the King expressed Bahrain’s eagerness to broaden cooperation with Pakistan for the benefit of both nations. He emphasized that such visits underscore the mutual commitment of the two countries to enhance coordination in pursuit of common goals.

King Hamad commended Pakistan for its unwavering stances and acknowledged its crucial role in maintaining security and stability in the region. He also praised the contributions of the Pakistani expatriate community to Bahrain’s comprehensive development process.

In recognition of General Asim Munir’s efforts in strengthening military and defense cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain, the King awarded him the Order of Bahrain-First Class. This gesture reflects the appreciation for General Asim’s contributions to fostering collaboration between the two nations.
