Authorities have launched an inquiry to determine the exact cause of the fire, which is believed to be linked to a possible mechanical fault or electrical short circuit in the vehicle.
The incident briefly disrupted protocol movement but the Chief Minister’s convoy continued its route after alternative security arrangements were made.
Further details are expected as officials complete their investigation.
