A luxury BMW vehicle reportedly part of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s security protocol caught fire in Lahore, causing panic and disruption in the convoy movement.

According to initial reports, the incident occurred when the vehicle suddenly caught flames while moving with the official convoy. Security personnel immediately stopped the convoy and evacuated the surrounding area to ensure safety and prevent any further risk.

Fire brigade teams were quickly called to the scene, and the blaze was brought under control after a brief struggle. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

Authorities have launched an inquiry to determine the exact cause of the fire, which is believed to be linked to a possible mechanical fault or electrical short circuit in the vehicle.

The incident briefly disrupted protocol movement but the Chief Minister’s convoy continued its route after alternative security arrangements were made.

Further details are expected as officials complete their investigation.
