Chicken Prices Fall Ahead of Eid

Just before Eid, poultry prices have notably declined in key cities such as Peshawar, Lahore, and Multan.

In Peshawar, the price of live chicken has fallen by Rs15 per kilogram, now standing at Rs380 per kg compared to Rs420 per kg two days ago.

Lahore has seen a Rs10 per kg decrease in live broiler chicken prices. The wholesale rate is currently Rs359 per kg, while retail prices are Rs373 per kg. Egg prices have slightly increased by Rs1, reaching Rs311 per dozen, up from Rs310 per dozen the previous day. The previous day’s wholesale and retail prices for live broiler chicken were Rs369 and Rs383 per kg, respectively.

Multan experienced the sharpest price drop, with live broiler chicken prices declining by Rs25 per kg. The wholesale price now stands at Rs304 per kg and the retail price at Rs318 per kg, down from Rs329 and Rs343 per kg the day before.
