Pakistan Set for Challenging Bangladesh T20I Tour as Teams Gear Up for Intense International Calendar

Following Bangladesh’s recent tour of Pakistan, the national cricket team is set to return the favor next month with a three-match T20 International (T20I) series in Bangladesh starting July 20. Confirmed by Pakistan’s T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, the series promises to be a competitive contest as both sides aim to fine-tune their lineups ahead of a demanding international schedule.

Pakistan dominated the recently concluded home series, sweeping Bangladesh 3-0. The team displayed strong form with a potent bowling attack and confident batting performances across all matches.

However, the upcoming tour presents new challenges for Pakistan’s young squad. Bangladesh’s pitches typically offer slower conditions that favor spin bowling, making it a tougher environment for visiting teams. Bangladesh will be eager to capitalize on home advantage and reclaim some pride in the T20 format.

The three matches are slated for July 20, 22, and 24, with venues expected to be finalized soon.

Immediately after the Bangladesh tour, Pakistan will head to the West Indies for a white-ball series comprising three T20Is and three ODIs, beginning July 31. With the ICC T20 World Cup scheduled for next year, these tours are crucial for selectors and team management to identify a core group of adaptable players. The new head coach Mike Hesson has started positively and will be keen to maintain momentum during these away assignments.

Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh will be closely observed for both results and the team’s ability to adjust to foreign conditions, as they prepare for a critical 12-month period in white-ball cricket.
