Gold prices in Pakistan surged by Rs. 2,900 per tola on Wednesday, reaching Rs. 362,200 compared to Rs. 359,300 on the previous day, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

With this significant rise, the yellow metal is now just Rs. 2,700 short of its all-time high of Rs. 364,900 per tola recorded late last month.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 2,487, climbing from Rs. 308,041 to Rs. 310,528.

In the international market, gold prices also saw upward movement, rising by $29 to reach $3,395 per ounce (including a $20 premium), as reported by APGJSA.

Silver prices followed suit, with a Rs. 49 increase per tola, now standing at Rs. 4,059.
