Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase on Saturday, with the rate of 24-karat gold rising by Rs. 6,100 per tola, reaching Rs. 359,000 compared to Rs. 352,900 on the previous trading day, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association.

Despite this surge, gold prices had declined by Rs. 12,000 per tola between July 24 and August 1.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also saw an upward movement of Rs. 5,229, settling at Rs. 307,784 from the previous Rs. 302,555. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose to Rs. 282,145 from Rs. 277,342.

Silver prices followed the same trend, with per tola silver increasing by Rs. 53 to Rs. 3,9530 and 10 grams of silver climbing by Rs. 45 to Rs. 3,389.

On the international front, gold prices went up by $61, reaching $3,363 from $3,302. Silver also rose by $0.53, trading at $37.01 compared to $36.57, as reported by the Association.
