The federal government has announced a rise in the price of high-speed diesel, while keeping the price of petrol unchanged for the next fortnight. Starting from October 16, the price of high-speed diesel will increase by Rs. 5 per liter, reaching Rs. 251.29. Petrol prices, however, will remain steady at Rs. 247.03 per liter.

The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the prices in line with fluctuations in the international market, as stated by the finance ministry.

In the previous fortnightly review, petrol prices were reduced by Rs. 2.07 per liter to Rs. 247.03, while the price of high-speed diesel saw a decrease of Rs. 3.40 per liter, settling at Rs. 246.29.
