Huawei has filed a groundbreaking patent for a solid-state electric vehicle (EV) battery that could transform the future of clean and efficient transportation. The company claims this next-gen battery can deliver an astonishing 2,000 miles of driving range and be fully charged in just five minutes.

The innovation uses a sulfide-based solid-state material, offering 2–3 times more energy density than current lithium-ion batteries. If these claims hold true in real-world applications, it would mean significantly fewer charging stops and ultra-fast recharges for EV drivers.

Although the five-minute charging time remains theoretical for now—mainly due to limitations in current charging infrastructure—the technology has already drawn global attention.
