Infinix has just unveiled the 5G version of the Note 40, adding to its extensive lineup. This new model, launching initially in the Philippines, boasts an impressive 512 GB of storage, surpassing any other phone in the Note 40 series.
Design and Display
The Note 40 5G shares design elements with both the standard Note 40 and the Note 40 Pro. It features the same body as the Note 40, including a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling, a 1080p resolution, and 1300 nits of peak brightness. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass and houses a fingerprint sensor underneath. Additionally, it comes with the MagKit, a feature found in the Note 40 series, allowing for the magnetic attachment of an extra battery to the back.

Internals and Software
Under the hood, the Note 40 5G is powered by the Dimensity 7020 chipset, similar to the Note 40 Pro, but with an upgraded storage capacity of 512 GB. It also offers up to 12 GB of RAM, though it lacks a memory card slot for additional storage. The phone runs on Infinix’s latest XOS 14 OS, based on Android 14.
Cameras
The phone is equipped with a 108MP main camera on the back, accompanied by two 2MP sensors of limited utility. It supports video recording in 2K at 30 FPS or 1080p at 60 FPS. For selfies, the 32MP front camera can record 1080p videos, though these are capped at 30 FPS.
Battery and Pricing
The Note 40 5G is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, supporting 33W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, making it one of the most affordable phones to offer wireless charging. It includes Infinix’s Cheetah X1 power management chip, which monitors battery temperature and voltage levels to ensure fast and safe charging.
The Infinix Note 40 5G is priced starting at $240 and is available in black, gold, and green color options.
