Tecno has once again entered the spotlight with the introduction of the Pova 6 Pro, continuing the legacy of its predecessor by positioning itself as a gaming-centric smartphone that offers an intriguing design and impressive specifications at an affordable price point. While Tecno has not disclosed the exact price yet, it’s expected to follow the budget-friendly trend seen in previous Pova models.

Design and Display The Pova 6 Pro features a large 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, promising smooth visuals for gamers. Available in Meteorite Grey or Comet Green, the phone showcases Tecno’s Dynamic-Tech Design concept, which includes a semi-transparent back panel with a lithography precision texture and a suite of LEDs called the Dynamic-Light Effect. This design incorporates elements like the Dynamic-Eye around one of the camera lenses and a propeller-shaped LED strip, totaling 210 LEDs with 9 lighting modes and 101 user-defined effects for a personalized visual experience.

Internals and Software Under the hood, the Pova 6 Pro is powered by a 6nm Dimensity 6080 chip paired with either 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM. The octa-core chipset consists of two 2.4GHz Cortex-A76 cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores, while graphics are handled by the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The phone runs on Android 14 with HiOS 14 on top.

Cameras On the rear, the Pova 6 Pro sports a triple-camera setup highlighted by a notable 108 MP primary sensor that also functions as a 3x zoom lens and supports digital zoom up to 10x. Accompanying this sensor are a 2MP depth sensor and an AI cam for enhanced photography. For selfies, there’s a 32MP front camera paired with a dual-tone LED flash to improve lighting in low-light conditions.

Battery and Pricing In terms of battery, the Pova 6 Pro is equipped with a hefty 6,000 mAh battery, offering a significant increase of 1,000 mAh compared to its predecessor. It supports 70W fast charging and 10W reverse charging capabilities, with a compatible charger included in the retail box. Pricing and availability details are yet to be announced by Tecno.
