The Kaghan-Naran Road, a popular tourist route, has been reopened by the National Highway Authority (NHA) after a 32-hour closure due to heavy boulders and landslides at Ghanool. The road had been impassable for two days, causing traffic disruptions in the area.

The landslide occurred on Sunday, prompting the NHA to deploy heavy machinery to clear the route, including rock blasting, and subsequently opening the road for one-way traffic, fulfilling their commitment.

Authorities have assured the public that efforts are underway to fully clear the landslide debris soon. Officials from the NHA and district administration oversaw the clearance operation.

The closure of the Kaghan Highway had left a significant number of weekend tourists stranded in the Kaghan Valley, unable to return home.
