Once operational, the upgraded facility will double the airport’s annual capacity from around 5 million to 10 million passengers, helping accommodate growing air traffic demand in one of Pakistan’s busiest aviation hubs.
The expansion also includes the addition of 144 new arrival and departure counters, aimed at reducing congestion and streamlining passenger flow. Authorities are also enlarging commercial areas within the terminal to host a wider range of local and international brands, enhancing airport services and amenities.
This development is part of broader efforts by the Pakistan Airports Authority to modernize airport infrastructure nationwide and support increasing travel demand. With completion expected soon, the new terminal is set to significantly boost operational efficiency and elevate Lahore’s position as a key regional aviation hub.
