It was reported by the Wall Street Journal that the company will overhaul its fledgling Horizon Worlds metaverse application, in order to attract more teenagers and young users after the design of this application service is improved, in an internal notice sent to Meta-related work teams.

It is called “Horizon 2023 Goals and Strategy” and can be found on the internal notice. It is stated in the notice that Horizon will be opened up to teens from the age of 13 to 17 as part of the new strategy.

The app is currently only available to users who are 18 years of age and older. According to sources close to the situation, Horizon could be available for teens as early as March of this year if all goes well.

According to Meta’s vice president of Horizon operations, Gabriel Aul, in a recent internal notice, stated the team’s goals for the first half of the year, with the top priority being to increase user retention, especially among the young adult and teen users groups.

There are many ways in which these age groups will be the true digital citizens of the metaverse, since they have grown up interacting seamlessly with technology and connecting with others remotely through computers.
