The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoIB) has directed the Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Corporation (SRBC) to vacate its Islamabad office in the H-9 sector. The building will be handed over to the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) to establish the first phase of the Pakistan Asaan Khidmat (PAK) Facility.
The PAK Facility is part of the government’s initiative to modernize service delivery by providing citizens with one-stop access to essential public services. By housing multiple departments under one roof, the project aims to reduce delays, cut bureaucracy, and enhance transparency.
According to the official notification, SRBC will relocate its operations to the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) building in Rawalpindi, located at Lane No. 3, 303 Peshawar Road. The move has been ordered to take immediate effect.
MoITT will determine the rent payable to MoIB, which will be used to cover administrative costs and ensure timely payment of SRBC employees’ salaries and allowances during the transition.

The directive, approved by the Secretary of Information and Broadcasting, reflects the government’s urgency to launch the project. Copies of the order have been forwarded to senior officials, including the Additional Secretary MoITT, Managing Director SRBC, Chief Commissioner ICT/Chairman CDA, and the Deputy Commissioner ICT, who will provide logistical support for the relocation.
Officials emphasized that the initiative aligns with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of improving public service delivery. The Asaan Khidmat Facility will bring together services from organizations such as the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad Police, NADRA, and others. Inspired by Azerbaijan’s successful one-stop service center model, the facility is expected to save time, reduce red tape, and improve convenience for citizens.
Once renovated and fully equipped, the H-9 building will house Islamabad’s first Asaan Khidmat Markaz, making public services more accessible and efficient.
