Motorola has started rolling out the Android 16 update for its Edge 50 Ultra, extending the latest software to another of its older flagship devices. The update is currently available for units purchased in Brazil.
The firmware arrives over-the-air as version W1UV36H.61-15, with a download size of 1.64GB. As with most major updates, Motorola is deploying the rollout in stages, meaning it may take several days before all Edge 50 Ultra users in Brazil receive it.
After the initial rollout, the update is expected to expand to additional markets.

The Edge 50 Ultra, launched last year with Android 14, previously received Android 15 and is now upgrading to Android 16. The device is confirmed to receive one more major OS upgrade to Android 17, but no further Android version updates are planned beyond that.
Motorola will continue providing security patches until April 2028, ensuring long-term protection and reliability for users.
