In a sharp escalation of digital warfare, Pakistani hackers have initiated “Operation Salar,” a cyber campaign aimed at retaliating against alleged Indian cyber offensives and propaganda efforts.

According to sources, the operation comes in response to recent cyber intrusions by Indian groups and ongoing human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir. In its opening strike, the group reportedly breached four major Indian websites, defaced them with Pakistani flags, and extracted sensitive data to showcase their cyber capabilities.

The hackers have described the campaign as “a warning, not the end,” vowing to continue defending Pakistan’s digital sovereignty and countering anti-Pakistan narratives online. The move has ignited a wave of online support, with the hashtag #OperationSalar trending across social platforms, where users have called for expanded cyber strikes on Indian media, financial systems, and defense infrastructure.

Cybersecurity agencies in both nations are now on high alert, as experts caution that this digital conflict could further intensify in the days ahead.
