At least 13 people lost their lives and several others were seriously injured in a devastating traffic accident on Friday, February 13, 2026, on the M9 Super Highway near Karachi. The collision occurred near Ansari Bridge / Kathore when a passenger bus collided with an oil tanker, causing a massive pile-up involving additional vehicles.

Officials said the bus was reportedly travelling the wrong way at the time of the crash, and the impact caused fuel to spill and wreckage to block the road. Many victims were rushed to nearby hospitals, with emergency teams working to save the injured. Authorities warned that the death toll could rise as some victims remain in critical condition.
