First Fast Expected on March 2 in Pakistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has stated that the Ramadan moon is unlikely to be sighted on February 28 (29th Sha’ban). As a result, the first fast (Roza) in Pakistan is expected to be observed on Sunday, March 2.
According to the department, the moon is expected to be born on February 28 at 5:45 PM. However, on 29th Sha’ban, some areas may have clear skies, while others could experience cloudy weather.

The Meteorological Department further explained that at sunset, the moon’s age will be 13 hours and 12 minutes, whereas it needs to be at least 19 hours old to be visible.
Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, the first fast is expected to fall on March 1, as Saudi authorities predict that the Ramadan crescent will be sighted on February 28.
