Several key players on the United States national cricket team have reportedly been denied Indian visas just weeks before the start of the ICC 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup. Fast bowler Ali Khan took to social media to announce that his visa application was rejected, and he indicated that teammates Shayan Jahangir, Ehsan Adil, and Mohammad Mohsin face the same issue. These denials have raised concerns about the strength of the USA squad as the event draws closer.

The situation has emerged amid broader visa challenges for players of Pakistani origin or those traveling on Pakistani passports ahead of the tournament, which is scheduled to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Cricket boards from several associate nations have reportedly approached the International Cricket Council in recent weeks seeking clarity on visa facilitation for affected players. If visas are not secured soon, impacted teams risk entering the World Cup with weakened lineups at a crucial stage of preparations.
