Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed direct flights between Dubai and Skardu, with operations starting on Friday, May 30, 2025. This initiative aims to enhance tourism to the breathtaking northern region of Pakistan and strengthen travel links with the United Arab Emirates.

To celebrate the inaugural flight, a cake-cutting ceremony was held at PIA’s Dubai office, attended by Consul General H.E. Hussain Muhammad and a group of international tourists booked on the first flight. PIA representatives noted a growing global interest in Skardu as a travel destination.

Regional Manager Sarmad Aizaz and his team organized the event, emphasizing the route’s importance in fostering closer people-to-people ties between Pakistan and the UAE. The Dubai-Skardu connection is part of PIA’s broader expansion strategy.
