In response, the PTA has called for immediate action to address these risks. Telecom operators and network administrators are advised to apply the latest security updates for Cisco IOS, IOS XE, and Access Point Software. Additionally, it is crucial to implement robust monitoring systems to detect and respond to any unauthorized access attempts.

Furthermore, the PTA recommends a thorough review and enhancement of access controls to limit exposure to critical network devices and services. Strengthening these measures will help mitigate the risk of unauthorized exploitation and bolster the overall security of Pakistan’s telecom networks.
