The FIA is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. Prior to the raid, PTA had lodged a complaint with the FIA based on information regarding the unlawful issuance of SIMs through the sales channel. This recent enforcement action is part of PTA’s ongoing initiatives to curb the circumvention of the Multi-Finger Biometric Verification System (MBVS). Such unwavering commitment demonstrates the Authority’s determination to tackle the illicit issuance of SIMs.
