The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has conducted a mock auction session as part of preparations for Pakistan’s upcoming 5G spectrum auction scheduled for March 10. The exercise was organized to test the auction system and ensure a smooth and transparent bidding process during the official event.
Representatives from major telecom operators Jazz, Zong, and Telenor Pakistan participated in the simulated bidding session through an online platform developed for the spectrum auction. The session allowed companies to familiarize themselves with the digital bidding system and operational procedures.
The mock auction replicated real auction conditions, providing both regulators and telecom companies an opportunity to test bidding strategies, understand the auction format, and identify any potential technical issues beforehand.
