Rain is forecast to return to several regions of the country next week, signaling an end to the current dry spell. Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz shared with a private news channel that rain is expected to begin around January 20, with winds from Iran entering Balochistan. He also mentioned that northern areas of the country will experience rain and snowfall during this period. However, Karachi is not expected to receive rainfall from this weather system.
In the meantime, Karachi is still experiencing a cold spell, with temperatures currently recorded at 12°C according to the Meteorological Department. Strong winds are expected today, and partly cloudy skies are anticipated over the next 24 hours.

The minimum temperature in Karachi has dropped to 11°C, while the maximum is expected to rise to 25°C. Humidity levels stand at 71%, and wind speeds are at 10 km/h.
On a concerning note, Karachi has been ranked as the sixth most polluted city in the world, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 184, indicating hazardous levels of pollution. Residents, especially those with respiratory conditions, are advised to take precautions.
