Sindh’s well-known hill station, Gorakh Hill Station, experienced snowfall during the winter season, bringing a rare and picturesque spectacle to the area. The scenic destination — located in the Kirthar mountain range of Dadu district near the border with Balochistan — is one of the few places in Sindh that sees snow in colder months.
Following the snowfall, the temperature at Gorakh Hill Station plunged well below freezing, with readings falling to around minus 2 °C. This drop marked a significant weather event, as temperatures at the hill station often fall sharply during winter but snowfall is not a common occurrence.

Tourists who had traveled to the hill station enjoyed the unusual snowy conditions, capturing photos and celebrating the rare winter weather. However, authorities temporarily suspended camping activities and advised visitors to exercise caution due to the extreme cold and icy conditions.
Gorakh Hill Station remains one of Sindh’s most popular high-altitude tourist spots, drawing nature lovers and weekend travelers seeking cooler climates. The snowfall and freezing temperatures have highlighted the stark contrast between its winter weather and the typically warmer plains of Sindh, making it a unique destination for those wanting to experience snow without leaving the province.
