The Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the Islamabad High Court’s rulings in the Audio Leaks case involving Bushra Bibi and Najam Saqib.

A two-member bench, comprising Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan, prohibited the Islamabad High Court from proceeding further with the case and suspended its order that halted surveillance activities.

During the hearing on Monday, questions arose regarding the possibility that the individuals implicated in the leaks may have released the recordings themselves.

The Supreme Court also raised concerns about the High Court exceeding its jurisdiction and issued notices to the parties involved. Both Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of progress in uncovering the truth behind the leaks.
