A powerful earthquake shook parts of Balochistan, including the provincial capital Quetta, on Tuesday. Authorities confirmed the seismic activity, stating that the earthquake measured 5.4 on the Richter scale and originated near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The quake’s depth was estimated to be approximately 34 kilometers underground, with its epicenter located 150 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital in a sparsely populated region. The tremors were also felt in Chaman, Qila Abdullah, Nushki, Chagai, Pishin, Mastung, Dalbadin, and other areas.
As of the time of reporting, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage.
