The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has assembled in Islamabad to observe the moon sighting for the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal. The meeting, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, is taking place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Secretariat.

As per the committee’s statement, the gathering includes representatives from the Ruet-e-Hilal Zonal Committee Islamabad, SUPARCO, the Pakistan Meteorological Department, and the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The main purpose of the meeting is to determine the visibility of the moon for Rabi’ al-Awwal 1446 Hijri and to announce the final decision. The Chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will make the official announcement.
