The Government of Pakistan has granted a 3-month extension in the contract of Syed Jawad Ali Sherazi, who currently serves as the Director General (International Coordination) at the Information Technology and Telecommunication Division.

As per an official notification from the Establishment Division, the Prime Minister has approved the extension under the Management Position (MP) Scale-II, effective March 1, 2025. The extension will follow the terms and conditions set forth in the Management Position Scales Policy, 2020.

Sherazi has played a pivotal role in managing Pakistan’s international tech and telecom coordination efforts and has significantly contributed to strengthening the country’s position in the global digital and ICT policy space.
