Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced the appointment of permanent headmasters in 35,000 government schools across the province, addressing a long-standing leadership void in the education sector.
This initiative aims to enhance school governance and improve academic performance, as many schools have functioned without permanent leadership for years, negatively impacting discipline and educational outcomes. According to the directive, each newly appointed headmaster will receive a monthly allowance of Rs. 10,000 to acknowledge their leadership responsibilities and motivate effective school management.
