Emerging Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah, who has been on the sidelines since the 2023 Asia Cup, has recently been traded to Islamabad United ahead of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9. Islamabad United has provided a positive update on Naseem Shah’s injury recovery, stating that he is actively bowling in the nets, and his progress is promising.
The 20-year-old pace sensation had been out of action for the past four months due to a shoulder injury sustained during the Asia Cup 2023, leading to his unfortunate exclusion from the ODI World Cup 2023. Wahab Riaz, the chief selector of the Pakistan men’s cricket team, has shared insights into Naseem Shah’s fitness, confirming that the fast bowler is expected to be fully fit in time for the commencement of PSL season nine.
