The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has escalated its efforts to tackle illegal constructions in the provincial capital. On Friday, several structures and properties were demolished and sealed by the authority. Acting on the directives of Director General LDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa, officials conducted operations against unauthorized constructions and properties in various areas including Ferozepur Road, Johar Town, Nasheman Iqbal, and Controlled Area. According to reports, an LDA team demolished an illegal commercial hall, service station, workshop, shops, a double-story building, and other unauthorized structures. Additionally, the authority sealed 25 shops.

The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner II Azhar Ali, along with Director Town Planning IV and Director Town Planning VII. Prior to the operation, the properties that were seized or demolished had been served with multiple notices.
