PTI leaders Latif Khosa and Salman Akram Raja were arrested by Punjab Police in Lahore during the party’s demonstrations, according to reports. Sher Afzal Marwat, a PTI party leader, condemned the arrests, calling them “deplorable and intolerable.” He demanded Punjab authorities to stop what he described as “unfair behavior” and asserted that peaceful protest was their fundamental right.
Latif Khosa’s son, Balakh Sher Khosa, confirmed his father’s arrest, expressing dismay over the incident. Meanwhile, another prominent PTI leader, Salman Akram Raja, was also detained along with Advocate Muhammad Mehr Salim.
Throughout the country, PTI supporters organized rallies and demonstrations in various cities, including Rawalpindi, Karachi, Kandhkot, Tank, and others. Heavy police presence was observed in Lahore’s Mall Road and surrounding areas, resulting in several arrests of PTI workers from GPO Chowk.
Similar security measures were implemented in Karachi, where police and Sindh Rangers were stationed outside the Korangi Deputy Commissioner’s office in anticipation of protests.

Tensions rose in Rawalpindi as PTI demonstrators clashed with police after being denied entry via the Khanna Pul route. Several party workers were initially detained but later released.
In Tank, PTI supporters marched from Sabir Bazaar to the Town Hall ground to voice their grievances.
Protests erupted in Faisalabad, Vehari, Khushab, Islamabad, Multan, Gujranwala, and other cities, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction among PTI supporters over alleged electoral malpractice.
The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) strongly condemned the arrests of Latif Khosa, Salman Akram Raja, and others, announcing plans to convene an emergency meeting of its executive body to determine the next steps.
