Pakistan Navy, in conjunction with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), conducted deep-sea diving operations utilizing specialized equipment and naval divers to retrieve the remains of 10 out of 14 missing fishermen from the sunken vessel Al-Assad. This joint search and rescue effort commenced on the fifth day following the tragic incident in the open sea near the Hajmbro creek amidst challenging conditions including dense marine traffic and turbulent seas.
Despite the obstacles posed by time-lapse and choppy waters, the dedicated teams managed to locate and recover the bodies of ten fishermen. The ill-fated Al-Assad, carrying a total of 45 crew members, had capsized due to rough weather on March 5th.

A comprehensive search operation was swiftly launched, leveraging a range of assets from both the Pakistan Navy and the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, including aircraft, helicopters, ships, and speedboats. The PMSS REHMAT, acting on intelligence provided by deployed units, successfully retrieved the bodies of the missing fishermen.
The recovered remains have been transferred to civil authorities for further procedures.
