TikTok has released its latest report on Community Guidelines Enforcement for the fourth quarter of 2023, showcasing its ongoing efforts to foster a secure and positive online environment. The report underscores TikTok’s commitment to transparency, safety, and inclusivity, reinforcing its dedication to establishing trust and ensuring a safe platform for its global user base.

Throughout the October-December period of 2023, TikTok’s proactive measures led to the removal of 176 million videos worldwide, accounting for approximately 1.0% of all videos uploaded on the platform during that time frame. Among these, 128 million videos were identified and removed through automated detection technologies, with 8 million videos subsequently reinstated following further review.

In Pakistan, TikTok took action against 18 million videos for violating its Community Guidelines in the fourth quarter, demonstrating its determination to effectively address violations. Additionally, TikTok intensified its efforts to combat spam accounts and related content, implementing robust measures to curb the proliferation of automated spam accounts. Impressively, approximately 95.3% of videos violating the guidelines were removed within 24 hours of posting, with a global proactive removal rate of 99.5% for the quarter. Furthermore, in a concerted effort to protect younger users, TikTok deleted 19.84 million accounts suspected of belonging to individuals under the age of 13.
