For the first time ever, Adobe Photoshop is officially available on Android devices—and it’s completely free, at least for now. The app, currently in its beta version, can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store. While it’s free during this testing phase, the final release is expected to be paid, as is standard with Adobe products.
To run Photoshop on Android, users must have a device running Android 11 or above and a minimum of 6GB RAM. For smoother performance, Adobe recommends 8GB RAM.
This Android release follows the app’s earlier launch on iOS, and impressively, both versions offer a near-desktop experience. Users can enjoy a comprehensive suite of editing features, including layers, masks, the Tap Select tool, and Firefly-powered Generative Fill.
