Multiple explosions were reported near a large Al-Quds Day march in Tehran, where thousands of people had gathered to show solidarity with Palestinians and protest against Israel and the United States. The incident occurred amid the ongoing regional conflict involving Iran, the U.S., and Israel.
According to reports, the blasts happened close to areas where crowds were marching in central Tehran. At least one person was killed and several others were injured after shrapnel from the explosions struck participants near the rally.
Al-Quds Day, held annually on the last Friday of Ramadan, typically draws large demonstrations across Iran and other countries in support of Palestine and opposition to Israel. Despite the ongoing war and security concerns, large crowds still took part in marches across Tehran and other Iranian cities.
