Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital operator, has announced free calls to all networks and PTCL for customers in flood-affected areas of Punjab, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity as communities battle severe flooding and displacement.

Heavy rains and river overflows have devastated multiple cities including Narowal, Kartarpur, Sialkot, Wazirabad, and Gujrat, damaging homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods. By waiving call charges, Jazz aims to help affected families stay in touch with loved ones, coordinate with emergency services, and reach out to relief organizations.

Earlier this month, Jazz extended a similar initiative to flood-hit areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

“The floods have caused unprecedented disruption in Punjab, and our thoughts are with every family enduring this crisis. Connectivity is a lifeline in such times, and by enabling free calls, Jazz is ensuring people can access help, coordinate with rescue teams, and stay connected when it matters most,” said Aamir Ibrahim, CEO Jazz.

Strengthening Preparedness with Technology

This year, Jazz partnered with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to launch a mobile-enabled Early Warning System (EWS). To date, more than 200 million advisories have been delivered nationwide, including evacuation alerts for vulnerable Chenab River communities.

The current floods underline the importance of such technology-driven preparedness measures, which, combined with free connectivity, play a crucial role in protecting lives and livelihoods.

Jazz reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging its nationwide infrastructure and partnerships to support Pakistan during natural disasters — from immediate relief to long-term resilience building.
