In response to rising regional tensions following Israeli airstrikes, Pakistan has initiated urgent measures to protect its citizens in Iran, especially religious pilgrims.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced on Wednesday that a 24/7 Crisis Management Unit has been established at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The unit will actively monitor the situation and provide immediate assistance to Pakistani nationals in Iran.
“We are fully committed to the safety of our citizens abroad, particularly during crises,” Dar emphasized. “The Crisis Management Unit will remain operational round-the-clock to support pilgrims and handle emergencies.”

The Pakistani Embassy in Tehran has been instructed to provide full assistance to Pakistani pilgrims and citizens. A dedicated helpline has been made available for direct contact: +98 21 66941388.
These precautionary steps come amid growing instability in the region, as Iran has vowed a strong response to the recent Israeli strikes. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned of severe consequences for the attacks.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs is closely coordinating with Iranian authorities to ensure the safety, communication, and well-being of all Pakistani nationals during this period.
