A senior military source has confirmed that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) successfully shot down two Indian fighter jets following cross-border aggression by India. The action was taken after India launched missile strikes on multiple Pakistani cities, including Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh, and Muzaffarabad.

According to military details, a Su-30MKI fighter jet was brought down near Akhnoor using air-to-air missiles. Meanwhile, a second Indian aircraft was shot down by the HQ-9 High to Medium Air Defense System (HIMADS).

State-run PTV News, citing security sources, reported that all Pakistani aircraft involved in the operation returned safely. “Pakistani forces are giving a strong and appropriate response to Indian aggression,” the statement read. “Initial reports confirm that two enemy aircraft have been downed.”

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also confirmed the development on Tuesday, emphasizing that the armed forces are taking robust action in defense of the nation.

“India has intentionally targeted civilian populations, which constitutes a blatant violation of international law,” Tarar said. “Pakistan is responding with strength and resolve. India has failed to provide any evidence to back its claims regarding the Pahalgam attack.”
