Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a special relief package for students belonging to flood-affected districts of the province.
Under the initiative, semester fees for all students from these areas have been waived, while admission fees for first-year BS students have also been removed. The districts included in the package are Muzaffargarh, Multan, Lodhran, Vehari, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Chiniot, and Kasur.
To further facilitate students, the provincial government has extended the university registration deadline by 20 days for institutions in these districts. Additionally, the application deadline for the Honhar Scholarship program has been extended by one month, ensuring broader access for deserving students.

Officials stated that the relief package is designed to ease financial burdens on parents while ensuring continuity of education for youth in disaster-hit regions.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz reiterated her commitment to supporting flood victims, promising swift rehabilitation and compensation. She stressed that no student’s education should be compromised due to natural disasters and pledged full government support to affected families.
