The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G is gearing up for launch, expected to debut alongside the Galaxy A35 5G around March 2024. This device is set to succeed the Galaxy A54, and recent leaks have offered a glimpse of its rear design. Support pages for the phone have already surfaced on Samsung’s website across multiple countries. Now, a fresh leak has shed light on the complete specifications and launch timeline for the Galaxy A55 5G.

Launch Timeline: According to a report from Winfuture.de, the Samsung Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy A35 are slated to launch in Germany on March 11th. Positioned as a premium mid-range option, the Galaxy A55 5G could be priced at around Rs 35,000 in India upon release.

Specifications: The leaked specifications reaffirm some of the previously disclosed details, including aspects like the camera setup and display. Renders indicate a centrally placed punch-hole for the selfie camera, with the volume rocker and power buttons situated on the right edge. Live images further revealed a triple camera setup on the Galaxy A55 5G, positioned at the top left corner, accompanied by the Samsung logo.

  • Display: The leak reiterates the Samsung Galaxy A55 will sport a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a punch-hole cutout.
  • Chipset: The handset will ship with the in-house Exynos 1480 SoC with an AMD GPU for enhanced graphics performance.
  • RAM/storage: 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage options. A recent leak revealed there will be a 12GB RAM option as well.
  • OS: The phone is likely to boot Android 14-based One UI custom skin out of the box. This could mean we might see some AI features on board.
  • Rear cameras: The Galaxy A55 is rumoured to ship with a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and OIS, a 12MP f/2.2 wide-angle camera and a 5MP macro shooter. There could be a 32MP shooter on the front for selfies.
  • Battery: The phone might house a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging technology.
  • Others: IP67 certified, stereo speakers, and probably an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

Color Options: The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G is expected to be available in Navy, Ice Blue, White, and Purple color variants.
