Telenor Pakistan has a total subscriber base of 36 million with over 26% SIM market
share. Sources with stronglinks with Telenor said thatthe company just started issuing
4G SIM’s to its employees.Which means that Telenor Pakistan is soon going to
introduce 4G services in Pakistan,however, an internal test for employees might be
conducted before the service is finally made available for customer trials.Since it’s only
possible to avail 4G services through a compatible SIM,all Telenor users will have to
upgrade and get their SIM’s replaced in order to enjoy bolt speed internet.Telenor
Pakistan will be third 4G operator in Pakistan after Zong and Warid Telecom, which is
now part of Mobilink.No date is yet confirmed about it’s release but most probably by
the end of this year Telenor will launch 4G services.
