Chaos erupted in Punjab’s capital as Lahore experienced its heaviest rainfall in 44 years, with some areas receiving over 337 mm of precipitation within a few hours.
The city witnessed record-breaking rain, leading to significant flooding in low-lying areas. Streets were submerged, some buildings were damaged, and traffic came to a standstill, causing offices and shops to remain closed.
The downpour began early in the morning and continued relentlessly for more than two hours. Major areas affected by the torrential rain include Mall Road, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Faisal Town, Lakshmi Chowk, and Anarkali, all of which were inundated.
