In recent developments, former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has vehemently denied reports suggesting his departure from Pakistan. Dismissing the rumors, he stated, “I can’t even think of leaving Pakistan. Confirm before running such fabricated news.”

Sarfaraz clarified that no player had been ousted from the team this time, dispelling any notions of his exit from the country. Earlier today, speculations were rife about Sarfaraz bidding farewell to Pakistan and relocating to London, UK, along with his wife and two children, causing concern and speculation among cricket enthusiasts.

Expressing his displeasure at the baseless news, Sarfaraz urged news sources to exercise caution and verify information before disseminating it. He emphasized the potential negative impact on players and the sport itself if inaccurate news is circulated.

A cricket stalwart, Sarfaraz Ahmed holds the distinction of being the only Pakistan captain to secure a 50-over world title since the legendary Imran Khan. Taking charge as the ODI team captain in February 2017, he faced initial challenges in the Champions Trophy but orchestrated a remarkable turnaround. The team’s victories over South Africa, Sri Lanka, England, and ultimately India led to the coveted trophy. However, a dip in Sarfaraz’s performance in October 2019 resulted in his removal as captain across all formats and exclusion from the team.

Making a resurgence in early 2023, Sarfaraz marked his return to the national team in the red-ball format. His presence was notably felt in the recent Test series against Australia, showcasing his enduring commitment to the game.
