Apple is reportedly considering increasing prices for its upcoming iPhone 17 series, according to The Wall Street Journal. While no final decision has been made, the move is said to be unrelated to current U.S.-China trade tariffs.
Design Enhancements Drive Cost
Sources suggest the price hike may be linked to design changes, including the launch of the iPhone 17 Air — a thinner and lighter model — and upgrades to the Pro models. The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are expected to feature aluminum frames, a revamped camera system, and reverse wireless charging.

Production Expands in India
In a bid to reduce reliance on China, Apple is ramping up iPhone production in India. All U.S.-bound iPhone 17 units will reportedly be made there, with Foxconn aiming to double output to 30 million units by 2025.
