The Islamabad Transport Authority (ITA) has granted a one-week extension for vehicle emission testing and M-Tag installation, giving inter-city, inter-district, and inter-provincial transport operators additional time to comply, 24NewsHD reported.

Authorities have issued a seven-day ultimatum, warning transport operators that failure to complete the requirements within the new deadline will lead to cancellation of bus stand NOCs.

The ITA has instructed all bus terminals to submit daily inspection and M-Tag compliance reports, emphasizing that strict legal action will be taken against violations. Officials say the move aims to ensure better regulatory compliance and improve environmental and road safety standards across the capital’s transport sector.
