Responding to requests from content creators, the government aims to alleviate the financial burden of acquiring smartphones. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority will employ measures such as blocking phones if payments are missed, as the government seeks to ensure complete and timely payments without complications.
This move encourages responsible spending and broadens access to mobile phones, particularly for those with lower incomes, enabling them to enjoy the benefits of mobile internet. Telecom companies are set to play a pivotal role in providing phones directly to customers through these installment plans.
In addition to this development, IT Minister Umar Saif shared another breakthrough regarding 5G technology, emphasizing its potential to deliver super-fast internet.
